You who will yet work miracles, read this…

Sep 27, 2016

I love A Course in Miracles because it is a simple & systematic way to train your mind to see everything differently.

It quite literally IS a course in miracles, a course to train you to be a miracle worker.

You’re being trained for the job of miracle worker, working under the guidance and direction of Jesus.

He says “Every day should be devoted to miracles.”

Think about that for a minute. Is every day devoted to miracles? When you wake up in the morning, do you think “today is a day devoted to miracles?” Do your guard your thoughts?

As humans, we were not trained to think this way.

“Human beings are not used to miraculous thinking, but they can be trained to think that way.” -A Course in Miracles

Most of us were trained to wake up in the morning and immediately begin to think of all the things we have to do! In the world, we have been trained to worry, strive, and be afraid.

A Course in Miracles undoes all this kind of thinking and trains us to think with our Christ Mind.

“All miracle workers have to be trained that way. I (Jesus) have to be able to count on them. This means that I cannot allow them to leave their minds unguarded, or they will not be able to help me. Miracle-working entails a full realization of the power of thought, and real avoidance of miscreation.” -A Course in Miracles

A Course in Miracles leads you to acknowledge that you have an Inner Guide and that you are never alone.

It leads to the complete dismantling of the thought system of fear (FUN!) and with it goes all pain, sickness, suffering, doubt, anger, anxiety, depression, limitation, lack and sorrow.

With the thought system of fear gone, you see everything differently.

My gorgeous friend Vicki Poppe calls this “working for JC Central.” I love that. We’re working for Jesus.

It’s a full-time job – to remember love – to use you mind to heal the belief in separation with love and blessing.

Now this might sound overwhelming to be on a job twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week – remembering the love that you are and acknowledging Christ in every moment to guide you- but our minds are already on the job twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, in fear, trying to solve problem, thinking about grievances, attacking ourselves and attacking others. It works overtime! It never stops.

So all that’s really happening here (if you want the job) is you are shifting your mind to a new occupation, to a new dedication to use your mind for healing, and no longer use it for grievances.

Jesus says “I need devoted teachers who share my aim of healing the mind.” -A Course in Miracles

In A Course in Miracles, Jesus uses the terms “working miracles” and  “performing miracles” a lot.

“In this phase of learning, working miracles is important because freedom from fear cannot be thrust upon you.” -(Chapter 1)

“The power to work miracles belongs to you. I (Jesus) will provide the opportunities to do them, but you must be ready and willing.” (Chapter 1)

“You have a role in the Atonement which I will dictate to you. Ask me (Jesus) which miracles you should perform.” (Chapter 1)

“You who will yet work miracles, be sure you practice well the idea for today.” (Lesson 99)

“You can do anything I (Jesus) ask. I have asked you to perform miracles, and have made it very clear that these are natural, corrective, healing and universal.” -A Course in Miracles

So you may ask: How did Jesus from 2000 years ago write a book that was published in 1972?

He didn’t die – the MIND and the LIGHT that he is didn’t die – he lives forever. Where does he live?? IN YOUR MIND.

The mind that was in Christ Jesus (that was healing and teaching and raising the dead) is the same mind that is in you.

This is precisely the reason he told us: Greater things will you do than I did, because I go to the Father (in your mind!)

But here is the temporary difficulty – this Christ mind is clouded over with a veil from everything we learned here in time and space – a belief in separation. You are whole and complete and perfect, but the second you arrived here in the world, you were taught that you are a body, separate from everyone and everything. We are taught rules of the world here – how to get by, how to succeed, how to protect ourselves, how to thrive, how to read, write and make something of our lives.

At some point, you realize the insanity of striving and doing. It goes nowhere. it does nothing. You succeed for a little while, you’re happy for a little while but there is always a kind of low-grade fear that is always there in the background permeating everything and you find yourself “waiting for the other shoe to drop” – anticipating when things will fall apart.

This is what we learned here as children, as teenagers, as adults: that life is a struggle – with moments of happiness.

We were taught that pain is normal and a part of life.

And almost none of us questioned it!

We just believed it.

Now, you have an opportunity to undergo the most amazing TRAINING you will ever go through! A Course in Miracles.

I made the promise/committee of learning to love unconditionally. Now I am being shown my “blocks” to love. But the funny this is I am also seeing the miracle or humorous part of it too. Thank you Jesus! “Miracle-working entails a full realization of the power of thought, and real avoidance of miscreation.” -A Course in Miracles

  7. Robert says:

Typo: ” watching my mind (not King) like a hawk”…… Although come to think of it, what a Perfect so-called “mistake”! Lisa also asks us to watch “Jesus (Our King) like a hawk!!!!” I think even my autocorrect is under the direction of the Holy Spirit too, now!!!! Lol!!!!

  8. Robert says:

I am all in to continue the mind-training which I began many years ago, now doing the 40 day program for the second time, and moving towards the Mastery program. Mainly because I have come to appreciate that it’s so easy to slip in old ways of being when I don’t keep “watching my king like a hawk” and I feel both compelled & called to keep applying the course principles in my daily life. Despite being a “fast learner” in ” the world”, I have also come to experience what a “slow & resistant learner” I am with regards to the Acim transfer of training and so these programs are just so helpful to me in a very practical yet gentle way! I love the way Lisa translates Jesus’s instructions in a really elementary way for us “slow learners.” As an educator myself, I have always said that anyone can teach the advanced and “gifted”, but it takes a dedicated and brilliant teacher to assist learners – in any field – who struggle with the practical application of theory. Thank you beloved Lisa for your devotion and ministry in this regard. Blessings. Xx

  13. Rose-Marie Willems says:

    Dear Lisa,
It’s the fourth time that I aim doing the 40-day program, together with reading ACIM. And I aim very, very grateful because I had an experence of being presence. In a very soft way and in one moment I was in the space that we really are. I was the space where everything happens. It happened looking at a video from Mooji about enlightenement. Later I found out that Bill knows Mooji. So I think that’s the reason why Mooji came on my way, because I didn’t know him. So now I know for sure how the place is and that I aim not a body. I continue to do the 40 days and the course and the meditations from Mooji every day because I want to grow in the energie and live it. In the meantime I aim also learning the English language. thank you so much Lisa, with love and gratitude. I just want to be an open channel for the Christ energy, so it can move trough me.

  18. Hi Lisa
I am dedicated to giving and receiving only love. I became a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist after attending the program myself having hit bottom again after two years of A.A. only drinking was no longer an option. I am doing the 40 day program with you right now and the process I guide would fit in so perfectly with dealing with our grievances. I am hoping to integrate the two when i am finished my work with you. Thank you so much for sharing this I have been following you since 2010 and still like to listen to your Talkshoe tapes. Love you so much.

    Hi Lisa,
I love you! This is exactly what I am looking for. I left academia because I don’t believe in that thinking anymore; It focuses on the external as causes for everything. I now know that this is wrong.. I am all in! I want to work for JC Central too. 🙂

Sounds “wonder-full” I am grateful for this opportunity. Thank you, thank you, for all you bring into the world!,

  31. Gail says:

I’m Jewish too. So was Jesus. I’ve done the 40 day program a few times and Lisa’s Living in Purpose Program, I read ACIM and I’m doing the workbook lessons a second time. It’s all good. It’s not religion. It’s mid training out of the ego thought system and thinking with Love. This world needs more of it. I was uncomfortable with the idea of Jesus at first. That was my ego mind that learned you just don’t go there with Jesus. I’ve retrained the mind. It’s okay to go there.

  32. Cathy says:

Hello beautiful and lovable Lisa. I greet you with all my love, and respect. I am in the mastery program, the ACIM 365 and re doing the 40 days (because I joined with many friends that are doing it for the first time) of course I want to be a miracle worker!!!… I am a full time mommy of my beautiful toddler Cloe (you saw her in our last conference call) and my guidance has been to work with children… I am happy and thrilled, and filled with pouring love to be here, I love you
